The MJX Bugs 5W Drone is an interesting quadricopter, which is recommended for those who want to venture into the world of drones without necessarily donating an organ. It has GPS, Follow Me mode, swiveling camera and many other functions.

The supplied camera records videos in Full HD and can be linked with the remote control. There is also the possibility to fix a point of interest on the map and allow the drone to turn around the point established in a clockwise direction. The radio command uses 2.4 GHz WiFi and has a maximum range of 328 yards.

The new drone comes with many improvements suitable for those who want to start testing a drone that has many of the piloting aid systems that are associated with high-end drones.

Performance

The MJX Bugs 5W is equipped with MT1806 1500KV brushless motors that ensure reduced friction and reduced heat loss. Inside the package, you will find the remote control with a compartment for the smartphone. You can view images being captured by the camera on the smartphone screen thanks to the companion app. The transmission distance is guaranteed for about 328 yards.

The battery is 1800 mah LiPo with a rechargeable connection through the charger, which is included in the package. The charge can operate for about 15 minutes of flight. The drone is kept stable thanks to the barometer and the presence of the GPS that keeps it at the same height or the desired position even in windy conditions.

The radio controller has two quick keys for takeoff and landing that will help the less experienced handle these operations with ease. The Return to Home function is activated automatically when the drone loses the connection with the radio controller. In addition, the Follow Me and Orbit functions enable the drone to follow the radio control and achieve a 360-degree view.

The Waypoints allow users to select specific points on the map and the drone will reach them automatically using the advanced pilot system. The camera takes eight-megapixel photos and shoots videos at 1080p 30 fps. It saves images on a micro SD card (not included in the package), which is inserted at the back of the camera. On the other hand, the camera can be rotated on the vertical axis through a special on the remote control.

The camera is equipped with a one-axis gimbal for stabilizing images during the flight. It is equipped with many advanced features that ensure fun even for the most experienced users. Thanks to the free application, it is possible to pilot the drone in FPV and use the Follow Me function.
